Collaboration & HOPE

Heads Together for Brain Injury was founded on the principle of collaboration. By bringing together families’ lived experience with clinical knowledge and expertise, we can create strong partnerships and positive outcomes.

HOPE shares family-centred stories focused on positive strategies and building an understanding of brain injury from a family perspective. We highlight what’s possible for young people after acquired brain injury to promote resilience in facing the challenges of rehabilitation and rebuilding family life post-injury.

To ensure that HOPE is a positive experience, we have partnered with the Victorian Paediatric Rehabilitation Service (VPRS) and Murdoch Children’s Research Institute (MCRI) on a research project about this resource. Many VPRS clinicians generously contributed their clinical perspectives to support the project’s development, and we are grateful for their partnership. We encourage clinicians, and anyone who works with families impacted by brain injury, to try this resource and use it as a bridge to connect and communicate with the families they work with. We welcome your feedback and questions.
